Placed between the body and a wired or wireless product, AegisGuard™ XP Radiation Shields provide an unprecedented level of permanent protection from the radiation emitted by a broad range of wired and wireless products operating over a wide spectrum of frequencies and power levels. They do not contain Nickel or MDF.
Incorporating a hypoallergenic multi-layer reflective shielding composition developed for commercial and military applications that has no effect upon performance or power consumption, the shielding effectiveness for products operating between 5 Hz. @ 10 Watts to 15 GHz. @ 5 Watts is greater than 99.9%. Shielding applications for frequencies up to 45 GHz. @ 0.5 Watts with a shielding effectiveness greater than 98.8% are supported.
Only 1/8 in. (3.18 mm) thick and lightweight, AegisGuard™ XP Radiation Shields are easily cut to size and shape with scissors. Suitable for a wide range of applications including cellular phones which are never placed against the head (see AegisGuard™ LS Radiation Shields if you hold a phone to your ear), cardiac pacemakers, transponders and virtually any wired or wireless product, standard pocket sized models up to 4 x 8 in (10.16 x 20.32 cm) are used in pockets, pouches, purses or with body style products and include VELCRO fasteners for easily attaching the shield to a product or garment. For portable computer, radar gun and similar applications where the shield is used as a placement or attached to the product with Velcro, a 12 x 18 in. (30.48 x 45.72 cm) standard model is also available.
Larger sizes are cut to order as custom lengths for use with aircraft, pilot and ground communication systems, two-way radios, personnel protection, production environments, medical equipment, and much more. They are easily installed by simply placing a product on the shield or using VELCRO to prevent product movement. A non corrosive adhesive can be used for permanent applications.
